The best Xbox One games for 2023: The new Xbox games coming soon

(Pocket-lint) – Some amazing games are coming out for Xbox One in the coming months. Whether you have an Xbox One S, a 4K-ready Xbox One X, or one of the next-gen consoles, most games work on all of them. We’ve rounded up the most anticipated Xbox One games to get you excited too, so if you want new Xbox games you’ll know where to look.
  • If you are more of a Sony, here is our list of the best games for PS4.
As much as possible, we include the release dates and a trailer for each of them. We’ll be updating the list throughout the year, so check back whenever you can.

Hogwarts Legacy

  • Release Date: April 4, 2023
  • Is Xbox One exclusive? No, also Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC
  • Publisher: Warner Bros.
At last we have an RPG set in the world of Harry Potter, with our own wizard student to guide us through his stay at Hogwarts. The game is set long before the events of the books. Mind you, it’s set a long time before the events of the books, so we’re looking forward to exploring a more vintage version of the wizarding world.

Dead Island 2

  • Release Date: April 28, 2023
  • Is Xbox One exclusive? No, also Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4 and PC
  • Publisher: Deep Silver
We’ve almost given up hope of playing Dead Island 2 since it took so long to be released publicly, but we’re happy to report that it’s officially out now, and it looks like a lot of fun from the trailers released so far. It’s going to be bigger than the first game in every way, as you’d expect, and we can’t wait to sink our teeth into it.

Street Fighter 6

  • Release date: 2023
  • Is Xbox One exclusive? No, also Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4 and PC
  • Publisher: Capcom

The next installment of Street Fighter will be coming to old-gen consoles, which guarantees that it will have a huge player base. Plus, it looks great, with new characters and a ton of online modes that promise to offer hours of fun.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2

  • Release Date: TBC
  • Is Xbox One exclusive? No, also on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and PC
  • Publisher: Paradox Interactive

After a decade and a half, we finally have a sequel to Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Also a first-person RPG, it will put you in the shoes of a bloodsucker willing to sow chaos among mortals and vampires alike. We are impatient.

The Elder Scrolls VI

  • Release Date: TBC
  • Is Xbox One exclusive? No, also on Xbox Series X/S and PC
  • Publisher: Bethesda

Yep, it’s just music and a logo, but doesn’t it give you the willies as we did?

    Beyond good and evil 2

    • Release Date: TBC
    • Is Xbox One exclusive? No, also on PS4 and PC
    • Publisher: Ubisoft

It’s been over 15 years since the original game, so this sequel has us beyond excited. We haven’t seen much of the game yet, but the CGI effects are just amazing. Also, you can include your music or your artwork in the game. Learn more at hitrecord.org.
